Residents of The Village at Columbine Valley,
Greetings from your HOA Board. We’d like to take this opportunity to wish you and your families a happy spring and remind you of some key points related to our neighborhood covenants. Please be aware:
- All external home and landscape alterations to include painting must be pre-approved by the HOA Architectural Committee (please allow 2 weeks). In addition, you will need a Building Permit to build, remodel, or make additions to your home, to include installation of new windows. Building permits may be obtained by the home owner or the contractor at the town office.
- Commercial vehicles cannot be kept in a visible parking spot for more than 48 hours without the Board’s permission.
- PLEASE PICK UP AFTER YOUR PETS.
- Trash and recycle cans must be removed from the street within 24 hours after scheduled pick-up and must be stored in an area that is not street-visible. Also, please be sure that any unsightly or extraneous material is removed or otherwise concealed so that it is not street-visible.
- You are responsible for the maintenance of trees on your property. This includes removal and replacement of dead trees and cleanup of downed branches.
- You are responsible for the maintenance of retaining walls on your property. This includes repairing and/or replacing retaining walls that are collapsing or in disrepair. The property on “higher ground” is the responsible party when two properties meet. Please be courteous and examine your retaining walls, especially if you haven’t done so lately.
- If it’s been a while since your trim has been painted and it is showing significant wear, please address this issue in a timely manner and consider touch ups.
FYI: Now is the time to treat your property for insects/pests, especially Japanese beetles. The number of these destructive insects will be greatly decreased if we treat while the larvae are hatching. Please consider doing so.
The Village covenants and by-laws can be found in their entirety on our neighborhood website: www.villagecv.com. The HOA Board recently walked around the neighborhood to note violations. If you are required to take action, an additional notice will follow shortly.
Also, please note the following dates: The neighborhood garage sale will be on Saturday, June 9. The annual summer BBQ is scheduled for August 26 and the Christmas Party will be held on December 1. More information to follow.
If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to the Board. We’re happy to help clarify or provide guidance as needed. We look forward to seeing you all around the neighborhood this spring and summer.
All the Best,
Your HOA Board
