Village HOA Board Meeting
April 10, 2017 at the home of Mimi Kuchman
Call to order @ 7:11pm
Present: Jeff Brooks, Willi Taylor, Mimi Kuchman, Adam Green, Tiernan McKay
Treasurer Report
- We’ve switched banks and are now with Colorado Business Bank
- Mimi will call residents who have not yet paid HOA dues + late fees and will mail another reminder after 2 weeks. There are still several residents who have not paid. Board will reach out to those we know personally.
- Suggestion to post financial information on Village HOA web site.
Landscaping/Maintenance Report
- The west entrance has a lot of weeds. We will organize a “clean up afternoon” soon to invite interested residents to help out.
- $500 approved for landscaping materials/annuals/mulch
- Willi will turn park sprinklers on ASAP.
- Suggestion to approve funds to update holiday decorations that are very old.
- Willi will work with residents backing to Platte and Xcel regarding overgrown trees.
Architectural Report
- Adam presented postcards to be passed out to all residents regarding necessary approvals and HOA contacts (update: these postcards were distributed on 4/15).
- 21 Village recently installed a new (approved) roof.
- Board will plan to walk neighborhood to check on exterior/landscaping.
- 5 Village Dr requested HOA approval for improvements but none are curb visible and, therefore, do not need approval.
- 10 Columbine Lane landscaping project approved after review of detailed drawings.
- 9 Village Drive recently removed a large tree without approval. Will request another be planted in its place.
New Business
- Suggestion to review and update bylaws soon, as they have not been updated since they were originally adopted in 1978.
- Platte Villas project on Bowles and Platte recently denied by Arapahoe County Commissioners.
- Summer BBQ tentatively set for Aug 20. Will revisit date soon.
- Thoughts on gating or restricting west entrance to reduce cut-through traffic. We will meet with the Mayor to discuss and then open to public comment.
- Jeff Brooks will represent the Village at the upcoming CV P&Z meeting.
