Meeting Notes from April 6th, 2016

Meeting called to order.

We thank Cory and Brent for their service on the Board.

We welcomed three new members to the Board in the following positions.

Social Committee: Tiernan McKay
Landscape and Maintenance: Willi Taylor
Design Review: Adam Green

Jeff Brooks is moving from his design position to the secretary position.

Outgoing Board members discussed their positions and exchanged tips and tricks with the new board members.

We are going to improve the east entrance by adding lighting and flowers. Willie is going to work to have electricity pulled from the corner house for the lights.

Secretary Report
Old notes were approved and are posted online.
Need to update board member list on the website.

Treasurer’s Report
29 homeowners dues are in.
Going to send out another email right away with $25 late fee if paid after May 1. We will also hand out a printed bill and put it in mailboxes for people who haven’t paid.

Board of Trustees have reduced our allotment of restricted funds to $2000 and are only paying for the entrance on Platte Canyon moving forward.

Maintenance of the small park was brought up. We are going to ask for bushes and trees to be trimmed and will likely aerate and fertilize the grass.

Our landscaping company has done their spring cleanup and weed spraying. We are getting a quote for adding annual flowers to the entrances.

All restricted funds are spent for the year. It was spent on new signs and lighting for the entrances.

Went over the Christmas and summer party expenses to set expectations for this year.

Design Review
The dog run at 1 Columbine Lane has been addressed and it is removable.
The past and upcoming changes to homes was addressed.

New Business
We will send out a survey to ask the community if they want to continue to have an annual garage sale in the Village.

Our summer party will be held on June 26th and will be hosted at the end of Columbine Lane.

We are researching ways to make the neighborhood safer and are asking for a meeting with the police chief. We are looking into video cameras at the entrances as well as adding video surveillance signs.

There was a recommendation of a video survellance system called ARLO, that costs about $500 that is internet based and can be viewed on computers and smartphones. The ARLO system is for individual homes if you are interested more information can be found here.
